Office Manager Houston, Houston, TX

Job Summary:

Manage the office administrative activities of the site/location so that administrative staff, equipment, supplies, and other resources are used effectively and economically.

Accountabilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the customer and Tranter, Inc. in communicating any expediting, shipping instructions, and inspection requirements.
  • Meet or exceed service center key metrics
  • Responds  quickly;  establishes  & maintains  effective  relationships  with customers; delivers  results that  meet customer  expectations
  • "Customer  First" experience  but not at the expense  of the companyActively participate in company meetings, suggesting better methods to handle current service center processes and improve the use of company resources
  • Help drive the lean enterprise system in Service Center processes
  • Follow HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and related work instructions and assist implimentation of HSE regulations and policies

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a variety of office services to ensure the organization's administrative needs are met. 
  • Administration of sales order entry; purchasing, invoicing; accounts receivable; accounts payable; customer service 
  • Inventory control, accuracy, & stock replenishment of raw materials, finished goods, and MRO supplies 
  • Master production planning of service center operations
  • Lead & maintain integrity of all office systems
  • Human resource document control; record retention; & training 
  • Maintain order files on Buy/Resell items 
  • Document preparation & scheduling for shipment of sold goods
  • Liaise with managers and human resources to ensure office administration policies, programs, and activities are appropriate for their needs. 
  • May assist operations management with planning, prioritizing, and managing maintenance activities and upgrades to equipment, facilities, and systems to minimize disruptions to business activities. 
  • May assist in researching, evaluating, and recommending office supplies and equipment purchases to minimize costs and meet the organization's business needs. 
  • Select and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure satisfactory standards of service. 
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of para-professional staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies required:

  • Highly organized individual with strong problem solving skill-set
  • Requires ability to navigate a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications.
  • Familiar with Mapics, SAP or ERP type operating systems
  • Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in customers’ expectations, requirements and other discrepancies created through the service center operation processes
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external business partners, both orally and in writing. English preferred (bi-lingual a plus).

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Managernent
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business Managernent preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in a comparable position
  • Background in accounting or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Design Engineer Entry, Wichita Falls, TX

Job Summary: 

Under direct supervision, assists with designing new products and processes and improving and maintaining product specifications for the design and development of heat exchanger frames, plates and gaskets.  

Accountabilities: 

  1. Assist in design activities to reduce time to market for new plates and gaskets.
  2. Assist in managing relevant product specifications, including drawings and technical data sheets.
  3. Assist in achieving Product Development key metrics.
  4. Follow HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and related work instructions and assist implementation of HSE regulations and policies
  5. Participate in the lean enterprise system in R&D processes 
 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in designing new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products.  
  • Under direct supervision, execute design-related tasks and conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable.  
  • Communicates with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion.  
  • Analyzes production methods to ensure time and cost goals are reached 
  • Execute effective methodology for plate and gasket development. 
  • Participate in product prototyping and qualification process with responsible personnel and develop action plans for timely execution. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary: 

Assists in planning and designing manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.  Follow established engineering principles to  determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organization's standards of quality and cost. 

Accountabilities: 

  • Follow HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and related work instructions and policies . 
  • Work collaboratively with peers, team members and employees to model the Tranter Core Values and Leadership Competencies.
  • Support the lean enterprise system in all phases in the production process. 
  • Assist in achieving Manufacuting Process Engineering key metrics
  • Assist or modify Manufacturing Process SOP’s as necessary 
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Help improve internal and external customer expectations are met
    • Safe Operations
    • Quality of product 
    • OTD of product 
  • Help improve production methods through lean processes and systems.
  • Help determine manufacturing capacity and set up production schedules. 
  • Assist with the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling. 
  • Analyze product specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepares operation sheets.  
  • Analyze existing production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks, costs, and wastage; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products. 
  • Collaboratively work with cross-functional teams; such as Factory, Product Engineering, Scheduling, Inventory Control, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, etc. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Masters degree in business or technical discipline a plus. 
  • 1-4 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
  • 1-4 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of  Lean practices and Six Sigma.
